Week #1 Recap

I was so exhausted yesterday that I didn't get to post this, so you get two entries today! :)  I will be posting "Week #2 Challenge" later today!

The challenge for week one was no caffeine.  It didn't do very well from the start.  I forgot that I had an early morning meeting on Monday and ended up getting a coffee drink around noon just to make it for the rest of the day.  The strange thing is that I don't drink coffee very often.  I didn't catch myself until about an hour later when I wanted to slap myself for failing on the first day.  When I got home I wrote "No Caffeine" on my mirror in the bathroom, the chalkboard in my kitchen, and put a note on my computer.  I wasn't going to slip up for the rest of the week.

Then Tuesday happened...and I failed again!  I had a headache during a convention I went to with my sister.  She gave me what I thought was aspirin, but I was wrong, it was Excedrin.  It has caffeine in it!  ARGGGHHH!!!!



Wednesday thru Sunday went fine.  There were a couple times when I caught myself right before purchasing something with caffeine.  I didn't think that I drank caffeine very often, but when I started paying attention to my caffeine intake I realized how much I depend on it during a normal week.  I really thought I would rock out on my first week's challenge.  I don't think that I can continue to drink no caffeine, however I am more aware of the amount of caffeine I drink every day.  I will definitely drink less!  :)

Beside trying not to drink caffeine I had a lovely week/weekend.  I went out with some friends on Thursday and told a bunch of people about the Zombie Pub Crawl (if you don't know about it, click HERE).  Over the weekend I went down to the cities for my friend, Jeff's birthday party and a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" party for his boyfriend, CJ.  It was a blast.  Unfortunately I watched the Vikings game on Sunday and I'm really thinking I need to find another team to root for this season.
